Obituary of Olaf K. Starheim

Olaf K. Starheim passed away on Sept. 6, 2015 in the company of his family at his residence on Goodyear Lake in Milford. Originally from Long Island, he spent most his adult life in upstate New York. He was accomplished in may occupations. He was the owner of Starcraft Builders, a successful general contracting business before moving to upstate New York in 1970. He operated a beef farm in Gilboa for many years along with an auto repair business. While living on Long Island, he had been an active boater and a member or the Stony Brook and Smithtown Bay Yacht Clubs. After moving upstate, he became a member of the Stamford Golf Club. Throughout his life, he appreciated nature and hunting. Mr. Starheim was born Feb. 27, 1928 and was predeceased in 1991 by his loving wife, Pauline Starheim. He is survived by a daughter, Diana (and Werner Kather) of Ivalo, Finland and three sons, Fred Starheim (and Sharon Staten) of Tallmadge, Oh., Mark (and Ellie) Starheim of Hubbard , Oh., and Gregory (and Elaine) Starheim of Leesburg, Va. His legacy is also remembered through nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
