Obituary of Frank V. Albano

Frank V. Albano "The day you were born is the day it was determined the day you will die" was one of Franks's favorite sayings, November 18, 2015 was his day. He passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center Surrounded by the people he loved. Born December 28, 1941 in the Bronx to Rose (Scotti) and Silverio Albano. The first 18 years of his life living there, moving to Grand Gorge in 1959. Most recently living in Stamford, NY A jack of several trades and a master of some, he was a farmer, chainsaw dealer, log home contractor, a corrections guard, a security guard and most recently until his retirement a bus driver for OBT in Oneonta. A job he enjoyed very much. Known as "Chief" to his sons and many of their friends, he loved talking to his boys, keeping up on their latest projects and offering "advice". He always had projects of his own in the works. Building and dreaming were two of his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed talking with friends old and new. Frank is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan and their three sons, Frank (Jenn), Eric (Stefani) and Mark Albano and his girlfriend Heather Cunningham, five grandchildren, Christopher, Madison, John, Ryder, Blake and the newest member Graysen. Brother and sister-in-law Joe & Sherry Albano, brother and sister-in-law Morris "Butch" and Karen Riddell; Nieces, Kristina (David) Hand, Rose (Matt) Wright, Jody Albano and fiancé Tim Douglas; seven great-nieces and nephews, Robbie & Kara Hand, Branden and Makayla Wright, Tim, Ashley and Brittany Douglas. Frank's constant 4 legged companions, Izzy and George. A Celebration of Life and Prayer Vigil Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart, with the Rev. Michael Cambi, celebrant. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 10-11AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
