Obituary of Irene B. White

Irene B. White, 81, of South Kortright, passed away peacefully, Wednesday afternoon, December 16, 2015 at Focus Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Otsego. Born on April 20, 1934 in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Lupi Ermelinda Busca. Irene was a graduate of Meriden High School in Connecticut. She worked for over 20 years as an Aide at Springbrook in Milford until her retirement. Family was an important part of Irene's life. She was a loving mom and a proud grandmother. Irene also loved to cook for her family and friends. She was very talented in the kitchen and often showed her love by making sure there was great food served. She is survived by one son, Kevin (Debby) White of South Kortright; a daughter in law, Gail (Jake Dickman) White of East Meredith; six grandchildren: Sara Waide(Jason) of E. Meredith, Kirsten(Nate) Riker of Morris; Emily(Samantha) White of Colorado, Devin(Kimberly) White of Schenevus, Dustin White(Brooke) of Hobart and Dana(Deanna) White of Oneonta; and five great-grandchildren: Lila and Cooper Waid, Braelyn and Landon White and Zoey White. Irene was predeceased by her son, Joseph White in 2001; and the father of her children, William White. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart.
