Condolences
A lovely lady to the heavenly home and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Doreen A.
My grandma was one of the most important people in my life and will be dearly missed. There are so many words I would use to describe her: strong, friendly, patient, loving, funny, caring, independent, animal lover, and nature enthusiast.
She was the ultimate caregiver, so loving and nurturing. When I was sick, she would do anything in her power to get me better- including making me either pastina or Mrs. Grass' soup. She was also very loving and would often hold my hand or give me hugs. One of my favorite memories was having her braid my hair in pigtails when I was little.
She was also a great listener and I could talk to her about anything. I could call her anytime, day or night, and she would be there for me. I would call her with exciting news and she would match my enthusiasm equally. I could call her when I was upset and she would listen sympathetically without judgement. She would either give me advice or just calm me down.
She also was my greatest teacher in life. She taught me how to cook and how to garden. She taught me about different animals and birds. She taught me how to do laundry and how to fold clothes. She gave me cleaning tips and taught me how to make a bed with hospital corners. She taught me about different plants and flowers. There is so much that I have learned that has come from her and I will treasure all the knowledge she has passed on to me.
She truly was one of the greatest people I've ever known and a wonderful role model for me to look up to. I will feel honored to be compared to her in the future.
I remember my mom as Toni Marie the fierce bingo player, the one who loved all, and had a gentle heart. The person who save many stray animals, and yes we kept them all. The person who loved COFFEE !!! drove big huge cars, was nicked name "lead foot" and who enjoyed company. She loved the holidays, family good or bad, the seasons, and smiled a lot. Here cooking you looked forward to everyday. She lost many good friends, and now is joined with them. Say hello to Connie, Rita, Mary, and Rochelle for me. We miss you, but your always be in the passenger seat or back because your a diva !!
