Obituary of John Fredrick Loseth
LAKE DELAWARE - John Fredrick Loseth, 68, 19-year Lake Delaware (Town of Bovina) resident, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at home.
He was born Feb 5, 1945, in Alexandria, Minnesota, the son of Orville and Ferne (Paulus) Loseth, receiving his formal education at Concordia College, Morehead, and MacPhail Center for Music, Minneapolis.
Certified by the American Board of Opticianry, John was a distributing optician, licensed in NY and Massachusetts, until retirement. Longtime organist and choir director at St. James' Church, he also worked for Fisk Antiques.
He was a member of Oneonta Chapter, American Guild of Organists.
Surviving are his brother, William Loseth, North Richland Hills, Texas; sister, Susan Schmidt, Alexandria, MN; nephew and four nieces.
Pre-deceased were his sister, Mary Anderson, and companion, John Philip Baker.
Requiem Mass: 11 am Monday, July 15, St. James' Church, Lake Delaware, The Rev'd J. Patrick Hunt, presiding. Burial following, Lake Delaware Cemetery.
