DELHI - Funeral services for Angeline "Ann" DeKorte, 100, former longtime Delhi resident, will be 2 pm, Friday, December 13, at Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi. The Rev. Sarah Hooker, officiating. Burial follow: Woodland Cemetery. Ann passed away October 13, at Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Born August 26, 1913, in Paterson, NJ, to Morris and Julia (VanOstenbridge) Visbeen, she married Gary J. DeKorte. Moving from North Haledon, NJ, to Delhi, in 1955, the DeKorte's owned a dairy farm on Federal Hill. Ann was a cook at the former "Jiminy Cricket" Restaurant; known for her cooking skills, her recipes were sought by younger women. A member of the First Presbyterian Church, singing in the choir, Ann retired to Rockaway, NJ, eventually moving to Andreas, PA, living with her son. Surviving: A son, Maurice W. "Reese" (Barbara) DeKorte; nine grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased were her husband; daughter Judith "Judy" Baxter; son, Adrian "Butch" DeKorte.
