Tom & JoAnn - So very sorry to hear of your tragic and untimely loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. After seeing the Tribute Video, it is obvious that you should be very proud of your son, Terry. God bless him and both of you as well.
Beautiful video. What memories it brought back, and what joy radiating from his face with Lisa. His life was short, but filled with love.
Terry was one of my most caring and giving students I ever had. I will never forget him.
Thank you for sharing Lisa, Tom and JoAnn. My prayers are with you all in this difficult time.
Dear Lisa,
I am not sure if you remember me from camp, but I wanted to give you my deepest condolences. You and Terry both made such a huge impact on me during my summers at Shankitunk, and I will always be grateful for the wonderful memories you both provided me. Terry always had a wonderful smile on his face, and genuine warmth about him that made my camp experience that much better, even when he was receiving ugly popsicle stick houses from me. As we would sing on our last campfire night at Shankitunk, "this is goodnight, not goodbye".

When I think of Terry I picture him when he was around 12-13 years old standing in church. He sang the Shania Twain song. "From this Moment."
He was a much loved young man. Seeing people stand out in the cold and snow today proved that he touched many lives. Young and old. Much peace and love be with him and his family.

I wanted to share a sunny day at the Extension office when I met up with Terry and Lisa. They were recently engaged and I was introduced to Lisa. As we sat there in the sun, we had a conversation about their future. Both were extremely happy, Terry was smiling as broadly as ever. They knew what they wanted, were making plans for the future, and were confident in their love for each other. I was so glad that they shared this time with me because it gave me insight into their life and I knew that they would have a wonderful future. Terry was always smiling when I saw him at the office or out at camp. He was genuine, unique, and always brought happiness to others that he came in contact with. Our community shares a great loss.

Tom, Joann and Lisa,
I am so sorry to hear of your unthinkable loss, there are no words that will begin to easy your pain. Please know you are all in my thoughts. Nikki Hoffman
I met Terry when I was 12 and he was my 16 year old camp counselor. He was always so kind, generous, and caring to my sisters and me. When a camper had a birthday during the week, like my best friend always did, Terry made sure to do something to make their day special. His love and passion for making others happy stood out, even among the other camp counselors. When I became a counselor myself, I knew I could turn to Terry for mentoring and advice, even when we disagreed.
I will light a candle for Terry and think about singing around the campfire with him, like we all did so many times at camp.
Lisa, your camp family is here to support you no matter what.
This is goodnight and not goodbye.
-Sarah Lister

We are so sorry to hear about Terry. Your loss is shared by so many. I remember him in Boy Scouts with Gavin. I really enjoyed visiting with him last time we were at your Maple Syrup breakfast.
