A true friend, I'm sure those are the words used by many to describe Jim. Always there when you needed him if at all possible and Truly caring..
My fondest memories are a High School Prom, an occasional letter and picture while he was in the service. A friend, always. Seeing him at the reunion! My husband is a retired NYC policeman so we exchanged, through emails, political views AND of course jokes! Jim knew my views on hunting so we didn't talk about that and he just sent those great pictures of the wildlife from his cameras.
I was talking to my 37 year old daughter about loosing Jim and she found it amazing that we were in touch after all this time. Over 50 years. I'm grateful for his communication but as I explained to her, I'm saddened that I didn't do more especially while I was still in New York. She pointed out that we don't realize as time goes on, the people that get the most attention from us are not always the ones that deserve it but the ones that just make the most noise, like the squeaky wheel.
Looking back on people that crossed my path in life, I will always remember and be grateful that Jim was one of them. I will miss him.
My deepest condolences to his entire family. I can only imagine how much you will miss him.

Thinking of you dad,
but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday ,
And the day before that too,
I'll think about you tomorrow,
And as the years come and go
I'll think about you forever,
Because I loved you so.
Little Jimmy, Mary and family, so sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. He was truly one of a kind, may he be at peace now.
Thinking of you, Leslie & Russell
I grew up spending a lot of time in Jim's house in Long Island. He taught me how to clean a deer which was rare on LI. I will always treasure those memories. May he rest in peace!
You always said that you don't have to be blood to be family, you just have to love to be family. and with that being said thank you for loving my children for all the years they knew you. They miss you terribly and Mom is just heartbroken without you. May you rest in peace and be free from all your pain.
