Obituary of Ronald Frederick Amberg

Ronald Frederick Amberg, 74, passed away after a long illness on February 27, 2016 in the O'Connor Hospital in Delhi NY. He was born on September 18, 1941 in New York City and grew up in New Hyde Park, Long Island. Ron subsequently worked with his father, Theodor Amberg, in the family woodworking business in New York City. Following that he moved to Andes, NY where he was active in the real estate business for many years. Life took him to many places; he lived for a time in Laguna Beach, CA and later lived in Honolulu, HI before moving back to Laguna Beach. He most recently returned to the Catskill Mountains area where he lived in Andes and Delhi. Ron is survived by his brother, Theodore A. Amberg, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Ron had many friends who will miss his friendly outlook and cheerful sense of humor. A gravesite ceremony will be held at 10AM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Andes Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Golding officiant. Burial will take place next to his beloved parents, Angela and Theodor Amberg. Arrangements are under the direction of Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi.
