Obituary of Alice E. Key

~~Alice E. Key, 67, of Hobart, passed away at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home early Thursday morning, June 8, 2017.

Born on September 19, 1949 in Sidney, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Blanche (Moxley) Armour.

She was a homemaker, Alice was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and proud great-grandmother.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking for her family, one of her greatest joys was reading to her grandchildren.  She had a great relationship with God and Jesus and always kept a Bible on her bed stand.  During her time at Robinson Terrace she was a member of the Resident Council.

Besides her parents, Alice was predeceased by her granddaughter, Stephane Rose in 1992; and a brother, Douglas Armour in 2016.

Alice is survived by her children: Leslie R.(Candy Lee Frank) Key, Jr. of Rome, George E. (Bobbie-Jo) Key, III of Richfield Springs, Connie L. Key of Tennessee and Janet D. Armour of Hobart; grandchildren: Matthew, Brianna, Shelby, Angelina, Dominick, Amanda, Andrew, Cassandra and Kurkland; eight great-grandchildren; a brother: Carl (Pauline) Armour of Louisiana; sisters: Lucinda (Donald) Thornton and Marie (George) Benitez, both of Louisiana and Delores (Jerry) Hamilton of Norwich; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services and burial will take place at Schenevus Cemetery at a time and date to be determined.
