Obituary of Ronald Roy Roach

Ronald Roy Roach, Sr., 51 of Bloomville, passed away Wednesday evening at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a long illness. Born on December 16, 1964 in Stamford, he was the son of the late James and Naomi (Tompkins) Roach. He was married to his loving wife Ginger (Wood) Roach, the couple was married on March 24, 1984 Ron worked for several years as a stone cutter for Steven Fairchild Bluestone in Trout Creek. Ronald was a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and all that nature had to offer, even raising and butchering his own livestock. Ron was always there to lend a helping hand to all in need. Above all else he was a family man, he was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather and a caring uncle, Ron held a special place in his heart for his family, often introducing the kids (his children and nephews and nieces) to the outdoors, teaching them how to fish and hunt, the entire time making great memories. Besides his wife, Ginger, Ronald is survived by his children: Justin Roach of Walton, Ronald (Krista) Roach, Jr. of Bloomville and Jade (Ian) Jones of Maryville, TN; five grandchildren: Angel, Serenity, Nicholas, Hermoine, and Keiara; two brothers: James and Paul; sisters: Pam and Nichole; a special nephew: Toby and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
