Obituary of George Hager
BLOOMVILLE - George Hager, 84, of Bloomville, died Tuesday March 15, 2011 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.
He was born on November 8, 1926 in North Blenheim, the son of Maurice G. and Kathryn L. (Williams) Hager.
A long time dairy farmer, George was employed by Brete Saw Mill in Middleburgh and also worked for Guernsey Nursery in Schoharie and Wycoff Farms.
George enjoyed the simpler things in life, especially his family and extended families. He reveled in giving and receiving greeting cards.
He is survived by his brother, S. Julian Hager and his wife Doris; niece, Holly (Hager) and husband James Thurston; nephew, Harry and wife Linda Hager; nephew, Henry and wife Ellen Hager,; great nieces and nephews, Cody (Marissa) Hager, Adam (Bethany) Hager, Ryan Hager, Trevor Hager, Casey Hager, Hope Hager, Nora Hager, Lily Hager, Evan Hager, and great great nieces and nephews, Conner and C. Parker Hager.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister in law, Iris Hager.

A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 20, 2011 at the Delhi Community Church with Rev. Derek Johnson officiating. Calling hours will precede the services at the church, beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will take place at a later date in Blenheim River View Rural Cemetery, Blenheim.
Arrangements are by the MacArthur Funeral Home of Hobart.
