Obituary of Miriam Lucille Peters Lutz
Miriam Lucille Peters Lutz
2-26-1920 to 4-11-2017
Miriam, the daughter of the late Virginia (Chamberlain) and Richard Peters was a lifelong Stamford resident who later made Lake Pansoffkee, Florida her winter home. She was born at the Peters family homestead on Peters Road on February 26, 1920. A hard working farmer's wife for over fifty years, she was an active member of the United
Methodist Church and the DAR and a ready volunteer whenever needed. She
Graduated from Stamford Central School in 1937.
Our Mommom was a tireless berry picker, back scratcher and cookie baker. She taught
us that it is never a waste of time to write a long letter or take a long walk. Mommom
believed that you should always keep a tissue tucked into your sleeve, save your stale
bread to feed the ducks and birds and that it is okay to eat popcorn for dinner..
Miriam was predeceased by her husband Leon, her dear first great grandchild Joshua,
her sister Betty (Philip) Lane, her brother James (Barbara) Peters, her companion Mr. Cooper, her loving grand dog Landy and many, many others because if you live to be
ninety-seven heaven is bound to be full of familiar similing faces.
Mommom is survived by her son Richard Lutz of Stamford, her daughter Susie Bauder
of Herkimer and her daughter Bettye-Joey (Dean) Darling of Stamford; grandchildren
Yvonne (Brett) Leven, Stephanie (Mark) Blask, Michael (Wendi) Eklund, Richard
(Nancy) Lutz, David (Karen) Bauder, Kerry (Joe) Eklund-Roberts and Damon (Niki)
Darling; great grandchildren Lindsay (Mike) Schrader, Tyler and Reese Leven,
Benjamin, Madison and Jackson Blask, Coty, Sierra and Stone Lutz, Sheilisa Moore,
Jordan Bauder and T.J. Roberts, Victoria and Damon Darling and great-great grandson
Liam Schrader.
Miriam is also survived by her sisters Marylou (Hubert) Bellinger and Joan (Ralph)
Tuttle, as well as many nieces and nephews and very special friends including the
"Hobart Road Gang".
The family would like to thank the Robinson Terrace Nursing Home staff and Rose
