Dear Family, My daughter and I had the honor of working and becomming friends with your Mom. My daughter started at the college and told me about the women she worked with that was so sweet,friendly and funny. When I started my job there I knew the instant I met her she was all my daughter descibed and more. I am truly saddened by Torescia's death. Although I did not know her in person, I have heard many heart warming deeds of her from her father Mr. Henry Sookram and his beloved wife Hassina Sookram and their two children Nefretiri Sookram and Henry Sookram; she was an amazing, kind and a loving person.
Her passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of everyone who knew her. My heartful condolences goes to her family members specially her father Mr. Henry Sookram who has to bury his own daughter before him who holds her memory ever since she was born and brought her and her husband to New York from Trinidad.

We heard so many great things about you. Meeting you once was all it took to know that you were a great human being. Our children would speak about how nice and jolly you always were . Nothing was never too much for you to give. We are so glad that you were a great mother, aunt, sister and friend. You would be missed and remembered for the stain you marked everyone with. Dear Vanessa & family, I was so sorry to hear about your mom! I did not know her, but, I knew you and your older brother and was always impressed with your beautiful manners, good work habits(you), and friendliness toward others. Your mom must have taught you that! I taught at S. Kortright when you were in 10th gr., 1997 or 1998. I taught English and also helped Mrs. Lavigne out in Social Studies. I am very sorry for your terrible loss and will pray for you to remain strong and keep your memories of your mother close to you! Her obituary was beautiful!
