Obituary of Harry L. Nolf
FRANKLIN
Harry L. Nolf, 91, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at home.
He was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Gloucester, Mass., the son of Roland and Ethel (Sampson) Nolf.
He married Celia Rambis in Berlin, Conn., she predeceased him in 2006.
Mr. Nolf owned and operated a construction business in Franklin, retiring to Tavernier, Fla.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Nolf and William F. Nolf; four grandchildren, Heather, Albany, Andrew, Jennifer and Valerie, North Carolina; 12 great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Elizabeth (Rasmussen) Nolf, Delhi, Allyson, Hannah Nolf, Granite Falls, N.C., Austin, Jacob, Bridgett and Layla Bandy, Mountain View, N.C., Cecilia, Lucas, Paul and Olivia Miller Valdese, N.C. Also two half sisters, Nancy Clutter, Atlanta, Ga., and Patti Lee, California, survive.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, in the Franklin United Methodist Church, Franklin.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, in the Franklin United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Hill officiating. Burial will follow the service in Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
