Obituary of Edna Kelly

HAMDEN Edna Kelly, 77, of Hamden, died Monday, November 17, 2011 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford. She was born on August 19, 1934 in Bovina Center, the daughter of Andrew and Sophie (Larsen) Reinertsen. She married Linden Kelly on October 11, 1952. He predeceased her on April 1, 1994. A long-time area resident, Edna was employed for 22 years as a cook for CADI at SUNY Delhi. When she was able, she enjoyed spending winters in Florida and attending functions with the Hamden Senior Citizens. Camping, berry picking, jam making and BINGO were among many of her favorite activities, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edna is survived by her son, Howard and Tammy Kelly of NC; a daughter, Annette and Mike Moody of Delhi; grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Kelly, Matthew and Danielle Kelly, Wayne Moody and Maria Stevens, Kimberly Moody, and Donald Moody and Tracey Stefanelli; great grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Madison, Paige, and Josiah; sister, Thelma Andreasen of Afton; sisters in law, Mildred Reinertsen, Eleanor Youngs, and Mary Ella and Don Finch; brothers in law, Leon and Donalie Kelly, and Harold and Loraine Kelly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by brothers, Sigurd, Robert, Lief, Art and Walt; and sisters, Gladys and Ethel. Calling hours will take place on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi. A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 12 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden.
