My condolences to the Hamilton family at their loss.

I did not know Jack Hamilton well, I was a tenant of the old schoolhouse in Meridale in 1989. But he was a man one does not forget. I'll never forget the drive out to show me the apartment. I remember holding my breath as he took the turns at what seemed way too fast for me! He chatted the entire way and he was so friendly that, being from LI, I found it almost frightening. I remember Jack & Te painting the front entrance one summer. They both smiled all the time it seemed. By the time I moved out I found that he was a fine, upstanding, and honorable man - traits in short supply these days.
