John is one of the highlights of the 19 years that I worked at the County, he was a wealth of knowledge and he is going to be missed, no one will ever fill his shoes. I consider myself lucky to be counted as a friend of John's as he was very selective as to who was in that circle. I'm sure he's bird hunting with his faithful dog again now. Rest in peace John.

I was very saddened to hear of John's passing He and I graduated from Stamford in 1964. I often stopped and talked to him on the streets of Delhi when I would see him walking home. I will miss him.
