Obituary of Kokie L. Hunter-Zilla

Kokie L. Hunter-Zilla, 44, of Bovina, passed away suddenly at O'Connor Hospital on Tuesday evening, November 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 29, 1971, the daughter of Gerald Richard Irving Hunter and Judy Ann Renner. Kokie had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time doing the simple things in life, like swimming and catching frogs and tadpoles with her nieces and nephews and the many children she welcomed into her heart. Kokie also enjoyed pulling pranks on her loved ones especially her love Joe Lumbrazo whom she loved to prank even going so far as to switch hair dyes on and anything else she could do to make him laugh. Kokie loved to laugh but mostly loved to make other people laugh, her laugh will be one of the many things that her family and friends will miss along with the fact that she always had to feed people from taking her nephews and niece out for Pudgies pizza or preparing a gourmet meal of seafood for the people she loved or even a stranger. Kokie was predeceased by her father: Gerald Hunter. She is survived by a son and heart: Herbert Ludwig Hunter Zilla; her mother: Judy Renner and stepfather Jay of Bovina; sisters: Tasha Culbertson of Stamford and Moriea Gray of Delhi; brothers: Dustin Hunter of Franklin and family and Robert Ellis of Oklahoma and family; her companion and love of her life: Joseph Lumbrazo of Bovina; neices: Morrissa Culbertson and soulmate Dustin Quinn of Rock City Falls, Judy May Wright and husband Tom and family of Bloomville; nephews: Cyle Hunter and wife Heather and family of Oneonta, Michael Hunter and wife Bekka and family of Delhi, McKenzie Alexander of Deposit, Paxston Culbertson of Stamford and John VanNatter and wife Sherrie and family of Michigan; and many great-nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and extended family. Kokie is also survived by her constant K-9 companion and other love of her life: Riley, her pug. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4-8PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Delhi.
