Obituary of John H. Raynor
DELHI _ John H. Raynor, 65, of Delhi, passed away Dec. 24, 2011, in Delhi.
He was born Aug. 14, 1946, the son of Howard J. and Ruth (Fairchild) Raynor.
A lifetime Delaware County resident he graduated from the State University College at Oneonta and attended Syracuse University.
John was a civil engineer for Delaware County with the Department of Public Works in Delhi, with 40 years of service. He started in Delhi on Feb. 22, 1971. An integral part of Delaware County structure he was involved with buildings, bridges and roads all over the county, as well as contract work for the New York State Power Authority Facility in Gilboa. He was also involved in the construction of the Composting Facility in Walton.
He was predeceased by his best friend, his faithful dog.
A sister, Betty Holden of Douglas, Mass.; two nephews; and a niece survive him.
There will be no funeral in respect of John's wishes.
Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
