Obituary of Marion E. DeKoeyer

Marion E. DeKoeyer, 82, of Delhi, passed away on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2025 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford.

Born on September 14, 1942 in Wood-Ridge, NJ, Marion was the daughter of the late George and Ethel (Kerr) Flavell.  She grew up in Wood-Ridge and was a 1962 graduate of Wood-Ridge High School.

She was married to Donald “Deke” DeKoeyer on July 10, 1968, a union that lasted over 44 years until his passing on December 29, 2012.

Over the years, besides raising her family, Marion cleaned homes in the area.

She enjoyed chocolate, word searches and had a love of light houses.  Marion often enjoyed taking long car rides.

Besides her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by two premature children; along with her siblings Herbert, Dorothy and Peggy.

She is survived by her children: Debbie (Wayne Blackman) DeKoeyer of Delhi; Neal DeKoeyer of Pennsylvania, and Sue (Scott) Pettit of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Eric, Emily, Davis, Alex and Katelyn; siblings: George of Tennessee and Clare of Pennsylvania.

Friends and relatives are invited to call from 1-4PM on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Hall and Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, NY.  Private burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi, NY.
