Obituary of Martha Martin Rockefeller

Martha Rockefeller, 80 of Stamford, formerly of Delhi, passed away on Sunday morning, April 6, 2025, at Robinson Terrace in Stamford.

Born on February 6, 1946, in Delhi, Martha was the daughter of the late Bruce and Helen (Morse) Martin. 

She was a daycare provider in the Delhi area for many years and enjoyed seeing all of her “kids” that became family over the years. She adored each and every one of them.

Martha was married to Howard T. Rockefeller, Howard passed away October 31, 2008. 

Martha enjoyed gardening and loved flowers, but her greatest passion was her family, she was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother, Martha loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed family gatherings.

Besides her parents and husband, Martha was predeceased by her sister: Helen Drake.

She is survived by her daughter: Kelley Wynans and husband Jeffrey Wynans of Hyde Park; grandchildren: Megan (Clayton) VanAlstyne of Valatie, Kimberly Eriole of New Lebanon and Leanna (Randy Hopkinson) Wynans of Poughkeepsie; great-grandchildren: Bentley, Lily, Lucas, Oili, Samuel, Grace and Eleanor; along with several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Graveside services will be held at 2PM on Sunday May 18, 2025, at Riverside Cemetery, Bloomville, followed by a celebration of Martha’s life from 3-7PM at the Bloomville Fire Hall.
