Obituary of Karl A. Davis

Karl A. Davis, 59, of East Meredith, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Albany Medical Center.

Born on February 27, 1965 in Delhi, Karl was the son of the late Larry W. and Karen S. (Martin) Davis.

Karl was a dairy farmer, working his family farm for many years. In recent years Karl enjoyed raising beef livestock. 

He liked working outdoors and could often be found gardening.  He and his niece Jessica were very proud of their garden and enjoyed sitting on the front porch, afternoons, watching their produce sell. Karl also enjoyed baking.  Cookies were a specialty.  In his younger years he spent time bowling in several area leagues in the Delhi, Stamford and Oneonta areas.

Karl was best described as a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Despite all the health challenges from age 4 he never let it get him down. He always had a smile for everyone and loved to chit chat about anything. He was very humorous and left you laughing.

Besides his parents, Karl was predeceased by a sister: Mary Beth Venth; and nephew: Jordan Robinson.

Karl is survived by his siblings: Larry (Cheryl) Davis, Jr. of Bloomville, Pamela (Clayton) Finch of East Meredith and Robert (Joy) Davis of East Meredith; nieces and nephews: Nicole Whitbeck, Danelle Orlowski, Jessica Finch, Jordan Finch, Sean Davis, Brooke Davis, and Teddi Jo Robinson; along with several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Karl’s life is being planned for the spring and will be announced.
