Condolences to Jack's family and friends on the passing of a Past Master and member for over six decades of the Free and Accepted Masons -- mostly with Working Lodge No. 554 in Jefferson, then for the last three years with Cobleskill Lodge No. 394 following the two Lodges' merger. "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the Kingdom."

As Arthur Miller said, a salesman "is out there in the blue, riding on a shoeshine and a smile." That was Jack, the very embodiment of tirelessness, fortitude and creativity with a unending reserve of cheer. Known far and wide along the bucolic bounds of the West Branch and its villages, hamlets and burgs, Jack bequeathed unforgettable memories to all those privileged to have known him.

I’m so sorry to read of Jack’s passing. He was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. Allen and I enjoyed playing golf with Jack and Ardy in the couples league. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Our world has, indeed, lost a very GOOD man. A good influence and example to us all, young and old. We thank him for his many contributions, love, and energies spent on our communities. He will be greatly missed.

Ardy, Melodie, Jack, Jr. and Families are all in our thoughts and prayers. So very sorry for your great loss.

Jack was a great guy. Always willing to help anyone out. A true gentleman.who loved his wife dearly. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I met Mr. Harmon while working for the Mountain Eagle in Stamford, circa 1990s. It was always a joy to see him and he was so funny. I remember I went to work briefly for a real estate publication owned by a Mr. Rising and Jack gave me a good luck card that read "I hope your future is always rising!" He was great at what he did. My condolences to his family and friends. I am so glad that, albeit a brief period of time in my life, he was part of my memories. Rest in peace, Mr. Harmon.

I have many fine memories of Jack as he went about life in Stamford. Especially from encounters at the golf course. My condolences to Ardy and the other members of the family.

The Stamford Rotary Club sends our sympathy to Jack's family. He was so dedicated to the community and was always looking for ways for the club to perform community service. He set a wonderful example of what community service is all about. He will be missed!

RIP to my Uncle Jack who I always enjoyed talking to and hearing his stories when our families got together which became way too far apart as time went by. He was a good man great uncle and will be missed by a lot of people. My sincere condolences to all his family and godspeed.
