Obituary of Lois E. Blackman

Lois E. Blackman, 74, of Walton passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.

Born on February 21, 1947 in Long Island, She was the daughter of the late Warren and Helene Newton.

Lois was married to her loving husband of 48 years, Richard V. Blackman.

She was a nurse working first working for several local hospitals and physicians including Fox Hospital, O’Connor Hospital, Delaware Valley Hospital and Dr. Eric Dohner.

Lois enjoyed tending to both her flower and vegetable gardens. She and Richard enjoyed traveling the area either to tractor pulls or fairs.

Besides her husband, Lois is survived by her children: Richard W.V. (Heather Vanzile) Blackman of Walton, Wayne (Debbie Dekoyer) of Delhi and Kevin Blackman of North Carolina; grandchildren: Paul, Sydney, Eric, Emily, Tara, Mason, Blake and Brody; and a brother: Richard Newton.

Lois's family will be receiving friends and relatives from 12-5PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the family farm located at 2731 Snake Hill Road, Walton, NY
