I’m so very sad. And sorry about the loss of your lovely mum Bette. She will be sadly missed by so many people whose lives she came into, including mine and my family.

We have all lost a wonderful person who was not only wise and kind but had a marvellous sense of humour and was a joy to be with.

I wish I could be there for the celebration of her life, and what a life she had! But, we will be thinking of you all and of course, that great lady, who never lost her English accent.

Rest in peace Bette.

A life that touches others goes on forever.

I only found out about Bette’s Passing this past Saturday, I am deeply saddened. My love and condolences go out to all of Bette’s family. I worked with her at the library and we had grand times together She left an impression on me as I know she did with so many people places and things. Rest in peace dear Bette. My beautiful precious Auntie Bette, to many memories of the times we spent together. You are my God mother and I still have in my possession the Leather bound Bible you gave me in 1956 . My one wish from being a child was to visit you in Stamford New York, it took many year's for this dream to come to fruition. When it did and my husband and I visited you and Uncle David at your beautiful home the tears flowed a dream come true. Bette and David were my parents kindest, most entertaining and endearing neighbors. David used to play piano while I sang and Bette made me tea. I first got to know Bette when I worked at Breese's department store in the 80's. I got reacquainted with her again the last couple of years. She will be missed. Sorry for your loss David and Janie.
