Obituary of Mary Beth Venth
Mary Beth (Davis) Venth, 57, of Bloomville passed away on January 6, 2021 after a courageous 3-year fight against cancer. Beth was born on October 18, 1963 in Delhi, she was the daughter of Larry and Karen (Martin) Davis Sr.
Beth graduated from South Kortright Central School in 1981, she attended SUNY Morrisville and later SUNY Delhi. On July 12,1986 she married Robert M. Venth Jr. She was previously employed by Eklund building Supply for several years before moving onto the First Baptist Church of Oneonta until their closing. She also worked as an independent consultant for various companies.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, camping, gardening, crafting, cooking and canning. Her extended family especially looked forward to the battle over her Oyster dressing at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR racing were some of her favorite pastimes, she was a diehard Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr fan.
Beth could do anything she set her mind to, she will be remembered most for not taking anyone’s crap, she was true to herself. Beth’s strength, determination and support will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother Karen S Davis of East Meredith, her soulmate Robert M Venth Jr of Bloomville, her daughters Nicole (Brian) Whitbeck of Davenport Center, Danelle (Thomas) Orlowski Jr of Davenport, brother Larry (Cheryl) Davis Jr of Bloomville, brother Karl Davis of East Meredith, sister Pam (Clayton) Finch of East Meredith, brother Robert (Joy) Davis of East Meredith. Her grandchildren Kailey, Cole, Taylor, Paige, Paiten, Rhian, Madison, Kaci, Elizabeth and Thomas. Her nieces Leah, Jessica, Jordan, Brooke, Theresa and her nephew Sean. In-laws Robert (Catherine) Venth Sr of Walton, Kevin Venth of, Middle Grove, Debbie (Todd) Richards of Dover Florida and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her father Larry W Davis Sr, her partner in crime who she adored dearly, she truly was her father’s daughter.
There will be no funeral services at Mary Beth’s request. A private family service will be held in the spring. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Saint Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 North Main St. Chamberlain, SD 57325 or the Father Flannigan Boys Town.
