Obituary of Thomas Jaquish

Thomas Jaquish, 92, of Delhi passed away Tuesday evening, March 3, 2020. He was the son of George and Margaret Jaquish, also of Delhi. He worked as an engineer for over 18 years with United Technologies but started his career as an educator. Thomas began his own education in a one-room schoolhouse, later graduated from Delaware Academy, and then received his Bachelor’s from Canterbury College. He was an avid reader who often read to his children and grandchildren, and he maintained this love of reading his entire life. He also loved Delaware County and the beauty of the mountains surrounding it. He was fortunate enough to pass away at home with a wonderful view of these mountains as well as family. He was dedicated to his family and will be very missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced.
