Obituary of Edna E. Ballantyne

Edna E. Ballantyne, 67, of Walton, formerly of Delhi, passed away suddenly, Thursday evening, August 23, 2018 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton.

Born on October 10, 1950 in Sidney, Edna was the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Birdsall) Jones.

She was married to Frank T. Ballantyne on April 10, 1977, Frank passed away on June 10, 2016.

Mrs. Ballantyne worked for several years for CADI at SUNY Delhi until her retirement in 2016, following her retirement she moved to Walton from Delhi.

Edna enjoyed shopping, gardening and baking.  She was also very proud of her Native American Heritage and enjoyed collecting Native American figurines, especially white buffalo.

Besides her parents and husband, Edna was predeceased by a sister: Edith Jones; and a brother: Edwin Jones.

She is survived by three children: Ernie Davis of Unadilla, David Ballantyne of Grand Gorge and Roseann (Jay) Schoch of Walton; grandchildren: Lillian Schoch and Jennifer Robinson; sisters: Cindy (David) Joslin and Linda (Jay) Johnson both of Unadilla; brothers: Edson Jones and Edsel (Marilyn) Jones both of Sidney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
