Obituary of Steven D. Weinmann

Steven D. “Bud” Weinmann, 53, of Hobart, passed away on Saturday May 5, at home.

Born on July 27th, 1964 in Paterson, NJ, Bud was the son of Allan and Ruth Weinmann.

Bud grew up working on the family farm. He was a graduate of SKCS and SUNY Delhi with a degree in electrical engineering with which he built “Bud’s Electric”. A very creative, intelligent man, he continued learning, developing a set of skills with which he could do anything. If there was something broken, he could fix it from computers to machinery to construction.

His family was extremely important to him, he was a devoted father to his children, a hard-working, loyal son to his parents, and a supportive, loving brother and uncle to his siblings, nieces, and nephews.

The accomplishments of his life are not measured by awards and accolades, but by his kindness to others and his devotion to family and friends. Bud had a rough and tough exterior but under that strong armor was a very caring, personable, selfless man that would lend a hand and offer help to anyone in need. He was the type of man who would offer you the shirt off of his own back.

His amazing wit and big heart filled our hearts with laughter and love.

Bud is survived by his parents: Allan and Ruth Weinmann; daughters Ali and Morgan Weinmann; Siblings: Eric, Laura, and Dale; Nephews: Michael, Ryan, Seth, and Arlo; Nieces: Danielle, Taylor, and Ruthie.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 5-8 on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart. A graveside service will be held at 10AM on Thursday, May 10, at Locust Hill Cemetery, Hobart.
