Tom, Dick, Jim, Nancy:

I am so sorry that I didn't get to Ruth's funeral on Sunday. My car was a mass of ice. By the time I realized that it was impossible, it was too late to ask someone to come get me.Old Man Winter is tough. Let me know when you have committal.

My mom was very close to your dad and Ruth, Janet. She helped Ruth when Jim was born. I do not remember Jim; I was looking forward to seeing him. Mom's sister, my Aunt Ruth, died at 97 last year. I am now the oldest, trying to get used to that new status. We will all miss her smile.

I will always remember Ruth as the kind and gentle person she is. I remember the many visits as a milk tester for DHI back in the 70's. I became a good friend of the family. I remember well sitting around the breakfast table with Ruth, Tom, and Tommy, discussing the latest test results. Ruth made fantastic breakfasts. She and Tom are forever in my heart. When ever I was in the area I would always stop in and say hi. rest in peace, Ruth.

Tom and Family, we are so sorry to hear about your mom. She always had a nice smile and a happy "hello". Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this sad time.

We have known Ruth and Tommy Hutson for a very long time beginning when we rented the farm house in DeLancey from them in 1981. Ruth was always patient and kind and we will always remember her exactly like that. We will not be able to attend the services for Ruth as visiting our son and family in Virginia for the winter. Our very deep sympathy to all the family .When I was growing up in Delancey, I remember walking down to Bess Jocobs store to get milk, bread and of course candy, I would see Ruth outside working in her garden and I would stop and talk with her, she always had kind words. My husband Doug hung out with Tom for many years, and anytime he was there Ruth would always have goodies to give him. Tom is still to this day a great friend of ours, he was the best man in our wedding. we will always cherish these memories.

I loved everyday I had a chance to spent time with Ruth, she was a joy to work with and she always fed me well when I worked on the farm. The Worden's were a special family and I will aways remember them. I'm sorry I will miss the service tomorrow, I have a previous engagement that I can't reschedule.
