Obituary of Thomas G. Camb

~~Thomas G. Camb, 87, formerly of Bovina Center, beloved father and grandfather passed peacefully into the hands of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
Tom was born May 12, 1930, the son of Thomas and Alice (Burns) Camb.  Tom was born and raised in NJ.  While on a trip to Bloomville NY to visit his mother and sister, he met his beautiful bride of 57 years and was married on June 6, 1959 in South Kortright, NY.  Tom returned to NJ to raise his family where he worked for Fabricators Supply Co. for 42 years as a local truck driver (referred to by Tom as a “Transportation Engineer”).
Tom enjoyed many hobbies such as motorcycles, guns and ham radios, but loved his family most of all.  Tom was very dedicated to his family and loved spending time with his sister, Alberta.  Tom was also known to “putter”, fix just about anything and always had some type of makeshift gadget to meet his needs.  Tom was liked by all and had a great sense of humor, telling jokes was his favorite past-time.  For those of you who knew Tom well, “the check is in the mail”.
Tom was predeceased by his wife, Mildred (Burdick) on June 18, 2016, brother-in-law, Lawrence Peletz and grandchildren Sean Camb and Krystal Spaulding.
Surviving are his 3 children, Alan (Karen), Jerry (Judy), Eileen Spaulding and sister, Alberta Peletz.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Alan Jr, Michael, Sabrina, Scott, Jerianna and a great grandson, Patrick.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4PM on 8PM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi.  A graveside service will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, September 9 at Riverside Cemetery in Bloomville, with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Tom can be made to Catskill Area Hospice or Bovina Fire Department.
