Obituary of Adeline Hanko

~~Adeline F. Hanko, 91, of Harpersfield, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her home surrounded by her husband of 67 years and two daughters.

Born on June 27, 1925 in Edwardsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Bajkowski) Czahor. Adeline is a graduate of Bound Brook High School. On April 29, 1950 she was married to Clem R. Hanko, Manville, NJ. She and her husband raised a family in Bridgewater, NJ and she worked as a key punch operator for the former Ruberoid Manufacturing Co (now GAF) in South Bound Brook, NJ. Adeline and her husband moved to Harpersfield, NY following their retirement in 1984.

Adeline enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and crocheting. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband: Clem R. Hanko; sister Frances Bylina of Stamford, NY; daughters: Barbara Lazowski of Three Bridges, NJ and Donna Wutke and husband William of Bridgewater, NJ; grandchildren Rachel Fowlie and husband Alexander, Darlene Mallory and husband Nathan, Jamie Drummond and husband Neil and Kelly Wutke; great-grandchildren: Brayden and Chase Mallory and Derek and Aidan Fowlie.

Besides her parents, Adeline was predeceased by three brothers: Stanley, John and Joseph; two sisters: Julie and Helen; and a son-in-law: Kenneth Lazowski.

A prayer service was held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart.
